Psychoactive Substance Abuse in Pusan Juvenile Classification Center -From 1990 to 1993-

Abstract
|
|
|
The present status of the psychoactive substance abuse from 1990 to 1993was examined in Pusan juvenile Classification Center.
@ES The results are summarized as follows :
@EN 1. The frequency was significantly increased from 1990 to 1993 in all age groups except under 13 years old and the most frequently abused drug was bond.
2. The frequency of psychoactive substance abuse was increased significantly in students, workers of bars, and unemployed.
3. Those whose school functioning was poor were at greater risk for psychoactive substance abuse.
These findings suggest that psychoactive substance abuse in adolescents may have particular implications, because they are under development. Future research should be focused on the following issues such as assessment, etiology, classification,
treatment, and prognosis of psychoactive substance abuse in adolescents.
